WHAT IS WEB 3.0? WHAT CHANGES WILL IT MAKE IN OUR LIFE?

Web 3.0 is defined as the new generation of the internet. It describes the Decentralized and fully personalized version of the Internet between parties. Web 2.0, that is, the information in the currently used system makes it controllable by the central system.

Contrary to popular belief, Web 3.0 is nothing new. This idea first emerged in 2001. It uses the latest technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. It is the upper version of Web 1.0-2.0.

What is information centralization?

It is a centralized information network that the information is registered in the databases of the platforms we use and their accessibility. If we give an example of its dangerousness, information theft, dissemination and many problems that come with them. Web 3.0 gets rid of all this and keeps the information in the virtual world and stores it with the help of artificial intelligence.

Many different structures have emerged that can be connected to a network with the Internet of Things. For this reason, IP leaves its place to IPV6 (the system that generates a lot of IP). The reason is that devices are identified by IP in the internet.

Structures that are in Web 2.0 and may change in 3.0

  1. a) Applications will be replaced by decentralized independent Apps.
  2. b) Ordinary websites will be replaced by the metaverse.
  3. c) Chrome, mozilla etc. browsers will leave it to browsers like Brave instead.
  4. d) Operating systems such as Essentia.one and EOS will replace Android and IOS.
  5. e) Messaging applications such as Whatsapp will be replaced by applications that give importance to anonymity.

Today, connections made on the internet are made through an intermediary. In Web 3.0, these will be removed and connections can be made without interpersonal intermediaries. The process that started with initiatives such as Metaverse will develop further in the future and will completely change our lives.

In this process, brands that cannot keep up with the development will disappear, the biggest example of this was seen in the transition from Web 1.0 to 2.0. Altavista in the global and e-kolay.net in Turkey can be given as an example.

Web 3.0 key features

  1. a) Semantic network
  2. b) ubiquity
  3. c) Artificial intelligence and machine learning
  4. d) 3D graphics
